In Israel, after 12 years, Benyamin Netanyahu is ousted from power after a 60-59 slim majority of the 'Change Government' bloc in the Israeli Knesset [parliamentary] vote. Additionally, Michael Levy was voted and appointed to be the new Speaker of the Parliament, effective June 14, 2021. One MK of the Party Ra'am decided to abstain during the voting process for the new government.
To give this into a visual perspective, Figure 1 illustrates the votes based on the party coalition bloc.
Change Bloc, led by Yair Lapid's party of Yesh Atid (60):
Yesh Atid (17), Yisrael Beitenu (7), Israeli Labor (7), Meretz (6), Yamina (6), Ra'am (3), Blue and White (8), and New Hope (6).
Keep Bloc (58):
Likud (30), Shas (9), Religious Zionism (6), and United Torah Judaism (7), and Joint List (6).
Abstain (1): Ra'am, 1 Member.
Not voting: Yamina, 1 member.
