Join me on an exciting journey as I explore the intricacies of implementing SAMR Model in the classroom. Through multimedia elements like videos, images, and written reflections, you'll gain insights into the challenges and successes I encountered along the way. Witness firsthand the evolution of my pedagogical practice, and learn how I transformed my teaching style to better engage and inspire my students.
As someone who has been teaching and learning for the past 18 years, I understand that my students are from different backgrounds and I need to cater the all needs from the different achievers. I always incorporate educational technologies into my teaching and learning methods as it makes the lesson more interesting. Currently I'm using the Substitution and Augmentation level to teach reading and writing skill.
Yes, it is crucial to understand that incorporating technology into education is not a one-size-fits-all approach. The technology should be used to get to the goals and make the class more interesting as the pupils learning experience can vary depending on their different backgrounds. Technology can also be used to connect students and foster collaboration -as with Google Drive and Google Apps for education. It also can be used to increase creativity - editing, music, movie and writing platforms and at the sametime it can be used to tabulate or measure performance. Ultimately, the thoughtful integration of technology in alignment with pedagogical goals can maximise student engagement, comprehension, and achievement.
Flipped learning can help to prepare the students before engaging with the next class activities and at the same time it helps in freeing class time for activities that involve higher order thinking.
In a flipped classroom, teachers provide short videos and notes outside of class time, and students use class time to work through the new concepts by partaking in activities.
