Project 3D

Project3D is a competitor winner on Hardware Hackathon program conducted by IEDC RCET, Akkikavu. The theme is to make a prototype that can analyse and identify two different shapes and display its volume. Here Project3D choose to go with Cube and Cylinder as two different shapes. Project3D successfully distinguished between a cube and cylinder and displayed its volume accordingly. Along with that Project3D knows when to calculate and when to stay stand-by. This features of Project3D make a lead in the competition and won first prize of 10,000₹.

Project Overview

Project3D is our prototype in hardware hackathon . We put all our effort to give the best from us with all the previous knowledge we gained from ProjectRobo and from other experiments. Project3D was a fully automated smart system which can detect cubes and cylinders and use volume formula accordingly. The beauty of our prototype was its automatic sensing and decision making. All other competitors have very good ideas and skills but there prototype needs a human interaction to detect the shapes or to find the lengths. Project3D is a fully automatic volume analyzing system where zero human interaction needed. Project3D can detect shapes, analyze and calculate volume by itself. Project3D is a ready-to-go system where the prototype goes to stand-by when no object is placed and turn-on when a object is placed. This is done by a infrared sensor working as a automatic switch to on/off. Overall automating things and decision making capability of Project3D strikes other competitors prototypes and became the First award holder in IEDC RCET Hardware Hackathon - HH001

This project really helped us for raising a fund of 10,000₹ for our future projects and developments.
