MTech Research Project

Recycling of supercapacitor materials                                                                                                         Prof. Kamal K. Kar IIT Kanpur (Aug 2020 – June 2021)

RuO2 and activated carbon are chemically extracted from decayed supercapacitor and produced crystalline RuO2. Techniques such as chemical analysis, sonication, electrochemical studies, and metal extraction were used in this project.

Industrial Research Project

Recycling of zinc smelter waste (Jarosite/Jarofix)                                                                                                                               Prof. Jagdish Prasad  IIT, Roorkee

Chemical analysis of jarosite and cement with different techniques such as AAS, XRD, and SEM, and accordingly IS codes 4032:1985 and 1727:1967.

 • Compressive strength measurements of cement and concrete cubes contain jarosite at different percentages.

 • Utilization of jarosite in concrete paver blocks.

• Toxicity and characteristic leaching procedure (TCLP) test of concrete and cement cubes containing jarosite
