Hyderabad is set to open the gates to India’s first exclusive ‘dog park’. It is situated in the Kondapur area and spreads across 1.3 acres of land that was previously used as a dump yard. Developed by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) at a cost of Rs 1.1 crore, the dog park features facilities like a walking track, off-leash areas, exercise equipment, splash pools, amphitheatre and a clinic among others. The GHMC is also planning to have a cat corner within the park. Situated near the West Zone and the Central Zone limits of the city, the park is accessible to over 2.5 lakh pet owners.
