We moved to Maryland from Virginia in 2019, and got to work building our humble family farmstead. We knew we wanted chickens and a nice-sized garden to grow flowers and food. From there, the vision slowly expanded. Nanna took a few classes on cut-flower farming and gardening as well as instruction on arrangements and wreath-making. It all came naturally to her already artistic nature and green thumbs. Rich took a course in beekeeping and added the first colony of honeybees to the farm in 2020. We entered into the state's forestry stewardship program and have taken the first steps to becoming a certified tree farm. Much has happened in just over five years. It has been hard work, but is also very enjoyable, and we love sharing the experience with our large and growing family. First and foremost, that is who we are - the Hardy Family - and sometimes the Hardy Hills stuff has to take a backseat. You won't see much of our kids on our website or social platforms outside of this photo, but they are always there at our side, or just out of frame lending a small hand, or somewhere in the distanceĀ getting into their own adventures. They say "it takes a village"... and we are surrounded by loving family, great friends, good neighbors, and kind customers. We appreciate all of your support!
