You are correct, there is no OOTB logic to populate cost or depreciation schedule information from the model. That logic would need to be added if desired. We don't frequently see an ask for this as the price on the model doesn't always equal what you paid for it. The price on the model is frequently used to publish to the catalog to show internal cost. The vendor catalog items associated to the model reflect the different vendors you would purchase the item from and the actual cost from those vendors. I believe for this reason you don't see ootb logic to sync cost from the model to the asset. Rather we didn't to handle the input of cost when handling advance shipment notice from resellers that includes cost.
For existing assets you can bulk update them using list view and adding the cost column to your view. If you can not, it is likely your system is configured to not allow list edits. You'll want to work with your platform admin team to enable list edit on IT Asset tables.

Nvidia's 40-series graphics cards include the most powerful GPU currently available, the Geforce RTX 4090. The 4090 combines a massive 24GB of GDDR6X VRAM, with superfast core clock speeds and Nvidia's 4th generation of Tensor cores for unrivaled ray-tracing ability.

In other words, your individual licenses don't expire because they are averaged into one expiration date. When an organization co-terminates, all active devices will need their licenses renewed at the same time.
Yes, administrators listed on the account will be sent Alerts and notifications outlining the steps for license extension 30 days prior to expiration. Another email will be sent three days prior to account expiration. In addition, an account expiration banner will be displayed in the Meraki dashboard during this time.
If an organization is "out of license" it means it is out of compliance, and either license renewals or additional licenses are required for the Meraki products to function and for these products to be manageable using the Meraki cloud.
