ROOM PARENTS GUIDELINES

Room parents will assist teachers with classroom parties, accompany the class on field trip(s) and provide other assistance as requested by the teacher.  PTO contributes for the Room Parents to attend 1 class trip. 

Room parents may collect $15.00 per student per school year for class craft/activity.  The money is to be collected by the teacher and turned over to the room parents.

Room parents may also collect money from parents for group gifts once during the year which can be used for - Holiday, Teacher Appreciation or End of Year (Room Parent discretion) which cannot exceed $10.00 per student.

It is a requirement of all room parents to attend at least 3 PTO meetings, 2 of those meetings need to be in-person throughout the school year. Room parents will not receive their gift cards provided by the PTO until this requirement is met. Monthly PTO meetings are held either in-person or via zoom. This information will be sent out via Remind, Facebook & Instagram. Attending these meetings will enable room parents to better inform parents of school events and fundraisers etc. Room parents must also pay their $10.00 dues to the PTO for the current school year.
