Mike started playing the piano at the age of 4. One Summer night, Mike's parents brought home an old piano that they purchased at an auction. The very next day, his mom woke up to the sound of the piano being played from the other room. She recognized the tune and quickly jumped out of bed and found to her surprise, her 4 year old son Mike, sitting at the piano, playing a primary song he learned at church. Over the years, Mike has come to believe that his natural ability to "play by ear" is a God given gift and blessing in his life, His joy in playing the piano comes especially as he shares his music with others. Mike is the Father of 4 energetic and fun loving kids. He currently lives in Long beach Ca and is owns his own Construction Business (https://www.hardeytile.com/).

In 2004, Michael Hardey and Brigham Welch met each other for the first time and have since explored the musical world together, combining their musical talents, experience, and skills, for the purpose of "Touching the Hearts" of their listeners. Together, with the piano and viola, they have created a unique combination and inspirational style of music. In 2010, "Hardey and Welch" thoroughly enjoyed their first CD release “The Spirit of God” - a collection of inspirational Hymns. The next year, "Hardey and Welch" released another album, "The Spirit of Christmas" - which is an exciting compilation of favorite Christmas classics including "Joy to the World", We Three Kings", and "Oh Holy Night" just to mention a few!
With much success of our first CD and the encouragement of our fans to do more arrangements, we wanted to consider collaborating with other musicians and in particular, a vocalist to sing to some of our arrangements. In 2014, Brigham met Hannah doing a recording session for a touching song entitled "The Artist" (click here for more info) and from this collaboration sparked more collaborations and a desire to feature Hannah Jane on their next Album entitled, "Then Sings My Soul," which released in 2018. This album highlights richly layered viola tracks, synthesized keyboard sounds, and guitar-like viola strums with percussive elements that transform hymns like "I'll Go Where You Want Me To Go" to upbeat anthems. Truly this album takes the previous H&W music arrangements to new heights.
Hannah Jane has been singing and writing songs for as long as she can remember. Sticky notes and lyric covered papers and napkins can usually be found throughout her house, her car, and stuffed into her purse. She was born and raised in Colorado where she sang in a band with her uncles during her teen years. At 18, she devoted herself to a deep spiritual search... looking into many different beliefs and attending diverse churches. At 21, she converted to The Gospel of Jesus Christ and began offering her talents to her Father in Heaven. She strongly believes that music is a powerful universal language meant to bring us all closer to each other. Hannah resides in Spanish Fork, UT with her husband and 3 children and is employed with Spanish Fork's school district as a Behavior Tutor.
