Trezor Hardware Login allows compatible websites and applications to use your Trezor hardware wallet as a secure authentication device. Instead of relying solely on a reusable password, your Trezor can confirm your identity by signing a login request directly on the hardware device.
To begin, connect your Trezor hardware wallet to your computer and open a compatible application that supports Trezor authentication.
When prompted to sign in with Trezor:
Connect your Trezor device.
Select Login with Trezor.
Follow the authentication prompt.
Review the request on your Trezor device.
Confirm the login directly on the device.
Trezor is designed so that sensitive private keys remain protected by the hardware wallet. During a supported hardware-login process, the device signs the authentication request without exposing the underlying secret keys to the website or application.
With supported implementations, Trezor authentication can provide a passwordless login experience. This can reduce reliance on reusable passwords and help protect against certain credential-capture techniques such as keylogging.
Trezor Suite is Trezor's official interface for connecting and managing Trezor hardware wallets. It is available as desktop and mobile software, with a web version also available through a supported browser.
For the web version, Trezor currently recommends using a supported Chromium-based browser and connecting the hardware wallet through USB.
Always verify that you are using the genuine Trezor website or application before connecting your device. Trezor specifically warns users about phishing websites and recommends accessing the official Suite web application directly.
Never enter your wallet backup or recovery words into a website, login page, chat, or support form. Trezor states that wallet backup information should be entered only on the Trezor device when required.
