In a bleak future where there are more criminals than citizens, one prison hopes to redress the balance with short doses of HARD time! Take your punishment like a man and try to endure the grueling regime of Southtown Correctional Facility. Create your own inmate from scratch and rub shoulders with up to 100 fellow convicts throughout the sprawling prison complex. With each passing day, every action taken and every word spoken will sculpt your own unique identity - as you attempt to juggle the physical and mental demands of prison life. You'll soon find that "reputation" is the only currency that matters in this world! Having one keeps you alive, but avoiding one keeps you sane. Which side of the fence will you fall on?[1]

It is possible to have more jail time as a result of continuous criminal behaviour or failing a task that's given by a warden. Listed below are some situations that may result in prison. Bear in mind that your character's reputation has a significant effect on whether or not the judge rules against you or in favour of you. The higher your reputation, the more other convicts fear and respect you, but the judge will be more likely to increase your sentence. Fighting and general bad behaviour can increase your reputation. Following rules and choosing passive options when hostility occurs will make you a bigger target for fellow inmates, but the judge will be more forgiving.

Sometimes, guards will threaten to pin a crime on you if you don't pay them a certain amount of money. Paying the officer will prevent you from getting arrested, but will lower your reputation, while refusing to pay will spare your money and reputation, but will result in a court case for a trumped-up charge. Sometimes, instead, a warden may offer to overlook a crime you are already wanted in exchange for money. Bribing the officer will take the heat off of you, but cause your reputation to drop while refusing the deal will raise your reputation but lead to an arrest. When the arresting officer happens to be your friend, they will usually avoid taking you to court and let you off with a warning at that time.

Health can be restored by sleeping, eating, using a first aid kit, using a syringe, or purchasing painkillers. Health goes down gradually with time. It is also lost from injury, either caused by yourself or by an NPC fighting you. When it is completely depleted, your character will be near death and groaning on the floor. They can usually recover, still weak, gaining a little health after a few moments. There is still a probable chance they will not recover and die instead, so it is not recommended to take the chances and let health go so low.

The Mind, or Sanity bar can be restored by resting, eating, or using a syringe. It will not be increased using the first aid kit. Mind will decrease while fighting or killing someone, but will also gradually decrease with time. When it is completely depleted, you will lose control of your character as they have a breakdown, indicated by sobbing on the floor. They'll do erratic things, such as walk around and engage in fights or steal, for around a genuine real-life minute while the Mind bar restores itself until the game gives you back controls. The duration of mental breakdowns and the amount of sanity restored at the end varies from time to time.

Firearms also function similarly. All firearm bullets appear to deal similar damage. The machine-gun has the highest firing speed, followed by the shotgun and then the pistol. Dealing in firearms or attacking people with firearms is considered a serious offense, and even holding on to a firearm may result in you getting arrested for possession by a guard. Firearms will sometimes spawn on the floors of the prison, most commonly in cell blocks, however, they can also be obtained by stealing them from guards (however doing so is also an offense).

Although ironically put, the most efficient but time-consuming way of "escaping" the prison is to, quite bluntly but, serve your sentence - but not in the way you are thinking. If the player goes to sleep, whether on the floor or on a bed, they will sleep indefinitely until the player regains control of themself again. A useful but mundane strategy is to find an empty room or kill everyone in an occupied space to make sure you won't get disturbed (attacked by an inmate, told to wake up by the wardens, etc.) and then sleep until your sentence has ended. This may take up upwards of 40-60 minutes of in real life time depending on how long your sentence is. After your sentence, it is possible to be recruited as a guard.

Hello mdickie, I'm interested in your game, but it's hard for me to play it because of the language barrier. I want to translate it into Russian and, if possible, voice it. I have already contacted you by email. Please could you help me with this?

Dickie began his game development career in 2000 with his first PC game, going on to retire in 2009 to become an educator. He came out of retirement in late 2011 and transitioned to mobile game development, which led to the release of Wrestling Revolution in 2012. However, he once again retired from full-time game development in 2018. In 2019, Dickie confirmed that a new wrestling project was in development for the Nintendo Switch and mobile devices. This project later emerged as Wrestling Empire, which was released in early 2021.

In 2006, Idigicon, who had previously published one of Dickie's games, Boxer's Story, contacted him again to make a version of his newest release, Wrestling Encore, for the British professional wrestling promotion One Pro Wrestling; however, legal complications arose due to 1PW not having the video game license to the American professional wrestlers working for them. In order to counteract this issue, 1PW attempted to buy the rights to the whole game off of Dickie instead of the rights to sell the version he had created for the promotion at their live shows, with the added benefit of him getting to meet the wrestlers working for the promotion at the time, including Bret Hart and Jeff Jarrett. Dickie declined this offer.[16]

Dickie released The You Testament in early 2009, a game loosely based on the New Testament in which the player follows the life and times of Jesus Christ and his various miracles. Dickie developed it in three months, which PC Gamer said made it the "best worst game ever."[18] He then decided to retire from game development, after realizing that he was unable to meet the increasing expectations of gamers and critics.[6] Dickie subsequently decided to become a developer of educational applications, publishing educational resources on TES.[19] Dickie had ambitions of enhancing learning and making learning fun; however, he later came to the conclusion that entertainment did not have much of a role to play in education. As of 2017, his educational resources have been used in 10,000 classrooms; he was also invited to the 2011 TES awards.[20] He also became an author, writing a book on his game development career and writing others on religion and spirituality as a religious educator.

In July 2018, Dickie once again announced his retirement from full-time game development, citing "frightening intolerance" from digital retailers among other reasons.[24] In an interview, he also cited increasing demands from players after the release of AAA titles such as WWE 2K19. Dickie stated he did not wish to compete directly with WWE games, but intended to provide a "cheaper... lighter... [and] more creative alternative that's always going to be made by one man or a smaller team."[25]

While the incarceration is quite short compared to a normal prison sentence, the player is not here for a long time but for a hard time. In fact, the prison is a chaotic hellscape, as there are police officers full of corruption, gangs feuding with each other, and tensions between convicts are rampant. Fights and mobs are frequent, dangerous tools and weapons (from swords to machine guns, and even explosives) lie around all over the place, and death is common.

This part exclusively stars MUGEN legend Duane, convicted for prostitution. After many hardships, Duane manages to fully serve his sentence (after a mysterious force greatly reduces it) and comes out of prison safe and sound, unlike all other characters in these streams.

Later on Mettaton, misspelled in-game as Metatton, is also arrested and sentenced to Southtown, this time for prostitution. He survives much less than Frisk, and he ends up being killed by Jerry of all people.
