FAQs

1. How often will I see my teacher? There is a face to face session with the whole class once a week. Here the teacher will go over any work that has been set and check for understanding and address any concerns/questions that students might have. They will set and go over work for the following week.

2. What do I do during the week? Your teacher will set work for you either by email, Google Drive/Google Classroom or a learning platform like Moodle. In your scheduled class time you work through the tasks that have been set?

3. What if I have any problems during the week, what do I do? Students are encouraged to keep in close contact with their teachers.... via email, Skype, Google Hangout. Students will also get support from their in-school eDean who can act as the students advocate.

4. What happens to my grades? Your grades are reported by your own school to NZQA. You will receive formal reports from your teacher during the course and you will sit formal practice external exams (if doing NCEA) in Term 3. The school year mirrors what happens in your own school.

EDay

A face to face tutorial day will take place early Term Two for all students in HarbourNet who are taking a course delivered by a teacher from HarbourNet. Venue and date will be advised to all HarbourNet schools.
