Process to follow:

When putting files/elements in the STAGING environment:

When you want to add a new ‘folder’ or ‘file’, place it in the STAGING environment and add 'NEW' at the end of the folder- or file-name!
When a ‘folder’ or file’ can be deleted from the webshops/web servers, add 'DEL' at the end of the folder- or file-name!

Website 'Assets' Sync Folder, where and how is this used?

All websites have an 'Assets' folder on the Virtual Machine hosting that country's website and that folder contains elements used in the respective website (e.g. Images, Video's, .xml files, ...). That folder can be managed/updated via the below 'Assets' folder in the HappyPrinting Brand Assets Repository.

THIS IS STILL WORK IN PROGRESS, but the idea is that when a file is updated on the 'Assets' folder in the HappyPrinting Brand Assets Repository, it will be automatically, over-night, updated on each webshop's Virtual Machine.

We follow a STAGING Process for this to work safely, meaning the file that needs to be added/updated needs to be put first in the STAGING Environment (sub-folder structure) and then after review, it will be put in the 'Assets' sub-folder structure and thus copied to the websites over-night.

All those 'Assets' are shown below for easy reference & use.

How does this work?

At the top a list is shown with all types of 'Assets' under the 'Websites 'Assets' Sync Folder Index' heading

It lists all the Types of 'Assets' and is for easy reference and to allow 'direct access' (see next Help Topic).

Go directly to a Type of 'Assets' by clicking on the ↗ after the 'Type name'

Each Type has a direct link button (↗) directly after the name and when clicking on that link, a new browser tab will open that is then positioned 'directly on that Type of Assets'.

NOTE: it might take a short while for the images to appear, so just 'hold your horses'!

All the Types and their respective Website Images/Elements can also be viewed by just scrolling down on this page.

Click on the ↗ icon at the top-right of the Preview 'window' to go to that specific Type folder

A new browser tab will open with the corresponding Type of Website Images folder on the Repository; here all files stored in this Repository for that Type will be shown.

Scroll down in a Type 'window' to see more of the Website Images/Elements (e.g. Google Ratings Images)

Sometimes more images are available then shown, on the right hand side a 'scroll-bar' will then show; more images can be seen by scrolling down in that Type 'window' (see 'Google Ratings ↗' for an example ).

'Hold-still' your mouse over an Image/Element-name (listed under any item) to see the the full file-name

To see the full file-name that is listed under the Image, hold your mouse still on the 'part of the file-name that is shown'.

The '_Source-Files_' folder contains the files (e.g. .ai, .psd,...) from which the Images were created

Each Type / Preview-Window has as first item the '_Source-files_' folder in which the files are stored from which the images were created; for easy of use, they have the same name as the names of the Website Images shown in the preview.
