About HFO
Happy Fox Oasis (HFO) is a new farm and community deep in the forested mountains of Adjuntas. Currently it is the home of Ms. Foxy and a few other like-minded individuals who share the goal of living an ecologically-friendly lifestyle in tune with la tierra Borikén and sharing resources that we build together over time so that we can have what we need for ourselves and loved ones.
This place is truly magical, with multiplte ways to access fresh spring and mountain river water (including waterfalls), jungle trails with bountys of food and medicine already availble, and of course, our Happy Foxes (horses, dogs, cats, chickens, guineas, ducks, and more to join in the future)!
The Happy Fox Mission
We are looking for individuals, couples, or small familes to join the Happy Fox crew! The owner, Ms. Foxy made her dream into the reality of living sustainably, ‘off-the-grid’, and is ready to share this sacred land with preppers, skilled workers, and motivated, productive, beautiful souls.

Ms. Foxy's Vision; A Puerto Rican Diaspora Dream Made Reality
Video- Evelyn Torres "Ms. Foxy" 25 Bronx Most Influential Women 2017 Acceptance Speech
The ability to help others realize their dreams
Evelyn Torres, advocate, leader, administrator and community activist, has dedicated the past decade to the creation and evolution of the Foxy Family.
The non-profit helps change the lives of disadvantaged people in need of others whom can direct them on the path of independent living and a productive life.
This remarkable organization combines Evelyn’s own challenges and adversities as a woman, through her talents and vision, to turn other’s dreams into reality, by creating a network of social, educational, cultural and artistic resources for children and adults to utilize.
Evelyn grew up in the Belmont area of the Bronx, New York and attended Roosevelt High School. Her rich desire to help those in need was instilled by her parents, pastors Alcides and Sarita Torres, founders of the Church of God at 4430 Third Avenue for 43 years.
Evelyn is living proof of the nobility of passion, endurance, talent and the vision to make ours a better world.
While growing up in a predominantly Italian/Puerto Rican neighborhood, her contemporaries named her “Foxy,” noting her exceptional beauty, which made her a notable local legend that landed her starring roles in many musical productions.
Blessed with a singing voice that landed her an opportunity to attend Juilliard School of Music, Evelyn continues to this day to entertain at special community events and fundraising activities.
Like her parents, she serves the hungry, counsels the needy, while providing clothing, food and shelter to those in dire straits.
She’s offered her home for lodging at times, sometimes at her own detriment, but nonetheless, never regretting the intent of the act.
Four years ago, after Hurricane Sandy, she brought together hundreds of Bronxites in an effort to collect blankets, children’s items and canned food to a staging area located in her parents’ church to be delivered to the storm’s victims.
Evelyn also helped create and organize pet shelter rescue and service activities.
She holds a firm belief in the special connections between humans and their pets and the ability for that relationship to create harmony in life.
The mother of two adult daughters continues her parents’ church as the president and senior pastor.
She is living proof of the nobility of passion, endurance, talent and the vision to make ours a better world.
