Pre-College Enrollment Checklist

1. Apply to College

   • Submit your college applications before the deadlines.

2. Apply for Financial Aid

   • Complete and submit FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).

   • Apply for TAP (Tuition Assistance Program) if you are a resident of New York.

   • Complete the DREAM Act application if applicable.

3. Confirm Transcript Submission

   • Ensure your final high school transcript has been received by your college.

4. Submit Health Documentation

   • Upload your Covid-19 Vaccination Card.

   • If applicable, submit Religious/Medical Exemption Documents.

5. Check Eligibility for Opportunity Programs

   • Explore programs such as ASAP, SEEK, MATHStart, CUNYStart, ACE, etc.

6. Attend Orientation

   • Participate in orientation to learn about class offerings.

   • Meet with your academic advisor to discuss your class schedule.

7. Familiarize Yourself with Course Materials

   • Review and understand the syllabus for each of your classes.

8. Attend the First Day of Classes

   • Be punctual and prepared for the start of your college journey.

9. Get Involved in Campus Life

   • Join clubs and organizations to build a community within your college.

• Budget Your Finances

  • Plan your budget for tuition, books, living expenses, and other costs.

  • Read through your college's academic policies, including the grading system and attendance requirements.

  • Outline your academic and personal goals for the semester.
