High School

• Forensics:

  • Students self-select events to work on, but will be grouped in similar events.

  • Students will get help cutting, writing, and live performing.  

• Debate:

  • This is a skill camp designed for students joining the competitive debate team or already on it.

  • Skill instruction includes the following:

    1. Daily speaking drills (enunciation, diction, clarity, and speed)

    2. Daily flowing drills

    3. Organizational drills

    4. Computer literacy/file management

    5. Personalizing files

    6. Extending arguments — DA/CP/Block strategy

    7. Argument summary vs analysis 

    8. Debate strategy (collapsing / choices)
