Once the banner is cut out, attach the flags to twine with tiny clothespins. I like to collect mini-clothespins in a variety of colors for occasions just like this. Often, you can find the clothespins in clearance bins at craft stores, especially during after season sales. They are handy for a variety of small projects, such as displaying family photos and wrapping pretty gifts.

For natural lighting, we hung the banner on the wall next to a large window. Then, my kids had a blast making silly faces for the camera; and I loved documenting their unique personalities and funny expressions.

I wanted a simple, but classic banner to hang on my mantel this year, so I whipped up this "Happy Halloween" one. It is very versatile and can be used with a variety of styles. You can also hang it in different ways. I liked having the words separate, but you could hang them together on one banner if you like that better.

You can print these on your home computer, but I highly recommend taking them to a copy place and have them printed there. It is the same price as any other black + white print, but it will save you a lot of your own ink. Also, their machines tend to give me a much darker, even black for my banner flags than my home printer can. I brought my own cardstock with me, so the cost of the copies was well under $1.

This Happy Halloween Banner is the perfect way to decorate any room for the spooky season. It's made from high-quality materials, so you can use it year after year. Add some frightful fun with this colorful banner!

Using 3 of my favourite distress oxide inks from the final colour release, I created a base for the top layer of the banner. Stamp the lace stamp from ornate and lace stamp set (cms348) with frayed burlap distress ink. Edged with ground espresso distress archival ink.

All of the background banner panels are Tim Holtz halloween paper stash and classic kraft stock, sanded and blended with vintage photo distress ink and stitched. You can see the banner dimensions HERE.

The Halloween remnant rubs were perfect for adding accents and I used them throughout the banner. How cute is this tiny vial label stamp from stamp set mini halloween 3 (cms140). I used the skull head from the same set in 2 of the banners further down.

I printed the banner on some white cardstock and used a paper cutter and scissors to cut out the banner. I used a small hole punch to make holes in the top corners of each of the penants. Then used bakers twine to string it all together.
