The general goal of this project is to analyze, develop and evaluate new methods, algorithms and tools that support the use and application of Automated Planning and Machine Learning to create intelligent systems in real scenarios where humans play a main role due to its implication on the design of the system, the deliberation or reasoning processes or the actual resolution of the specific task.
Design mechanisms to allow the human to show the agent her own specific problem solving strategies
Design techniques to learn models, policies and preferences from previous plan executions to understand human behaviour
Design mechanisms that provide explanations to the human on demand, customizing explanations to different user models, and different levels of abstraction.
Design new ways to enhance decision making through the use and integration of Automated Planning and Machine Learning technologies
Develop tools to support humans in the definition of use casesÂ
Define classical planning domains and new human-centric domains, inspired in domotic applications
Proof-of-concept deployment of human-aware learning and planning techniques to different application environments as social assistive robotics, classroom activity recognition and analysis of tourist behaviour
