I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
My research focuses on labor economics, public economics, and environmental economics, with a particular interest in how individuals and institutions respond to policy incentives. I use a range of empirical strategies—such as natural experiments, administrative data analysis, and field interventions—to study topics like military conscription, education, and healthcare financing.
