My name is Haolin (Leo) Li, and I am an Assistant Professor of Biostatistics at the Boston University School of Public Health and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Biostatistics at UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health.
My areas of expertise include survival analysis, clinical trials, epidemiological studies, machine learning, and precision health. Broadly, my research develops statistical and machine learning methods for complex data in biomedical and public health studies. More specifically, my current work focuses on:
Machine learning methods for case-cohort studies
Design and analysis of precision medicine clinical trials
Statistical methods for complex survey and structured data
In addition to methodological development, I collaborate extensively on interdisciplinary research across diverse areas of biomedical science and disease applications.
