HaoLan provides this Privacy Policy for applications published under its developer account, and privacy questions or requests may be addressed to chadthompson199378@gmail.com.
This policy explains how our mobile applications handle information when you use their features or contact us. References to “we,” “us,” and “our” mean the developer, and “Applications” means the applications covered by this policy.
The information involved in a particular interaction depends on the Application, the feature you use, and the permissions you grant. A category described here does not mean that every Application accesses that category.
1. Information Used to Provide Features
Applications that work with documents or media may access files that you select or make available through a device permission.
Depending on the available feature, this can include:
- Documents, photographs, videos, audio, and other supported files.
- File names, formats, sizes, locations, and modification information.
- Thumbnails and previews needed to display files.
- Reading positions, bookmarks, and organization preferences.
- Images captured when you choose a scanning function.
- Results generated by an editing, conversion, or recovery operation.
Access is used to carry out the relevant operation, such as displaying, searching, sorting, scanning, saving, exporting, or recovering supported content.
Permission to access a file does not authorize its use for unrelated advertising purposes.
2. Local Processing and User-Directed Transfers
Document and media operations covered by this policy are performed on your device. We do not automatically upload file contents as part of those local operations.
When you choose to share, print, export, or open a file through another service, the selected recipient or service receives the information needed for that action. Files obtained through a cloud document provider may also involve that provider’s own network services.
If you voluntarily attach a file to a support message, we receive that attachment along with your message.
File contents are not sold or used to build advertising profiles.
3. Permissions and Access Controls
An Application may request file, media, camera, or notification access when needed for an available function.
A file-processing or recovery feature may request access to a broader set of folders where that access is necessary and permitted. The explanation presented with the request identifies the relevant purpose.
You can change permissions in your device settings. Revoking access prevents future use of that permission, but does not automatically delete files already exported or information previously received by a service.
Internet connectivity supports features such as advertising, diagnostics, and support. It is distinct from permission to access your private files.
4. Operational Data
Where analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services are enabled, the Application and its providers may process:
- Device model, operating-system version, and Application version.
- Language and general regional configuration.
- IP address and network connection information.
- Application or installation identifiers.
- Advertising identifiers where available and permitted.
- Feature interactions, session events, and performance measurements.
- Crash traces, error details, and diagnostic information.
- Advertisement impressions, clicks, and related measurement events.
These categories support operation, performance analysis, advertising measurement, and fraud prevention. They are separate from the contents of documents processed locally.
5. Support and Feedback
If you contact us, we receive the contact details and information included in your communication.
We use this information to respond, investigate the reported issue, and maintain necessary support records. Please include only information relevant to your request and remove confidential material from screenshots or attachments where possible.
Contacting support does not enroll you in unrelated promotional communications.
6. Reasons for Processing Information
We use information for the following purposes:
- Delivering the functions you request.
- Retaining settings and feature progress.
- Investigating errors and improving reliability.
- Understanding which features are used.
- Maintaining compatibility and security.
- Providing and measuring advertisements where present.
- Identifying fraudulent traffic or misuse.
- Responding to inquiries and privacy requests.
- Meeting legal obligations and handling disputes.
Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, processing relies on providing the requested service, complying with legal obligations, consent, or legitimate interests such as maintaining security and resolving technical problems. Legitimate interests are relied on only where permitted and balanced against your rights.
Reading this policy or continuing to use an Application does not replace a separate consent request where consent is required.
7. Providers and Advertising
We use categories of providers that support advertising delivery, advertising measurement, analytics, crash reporting, technical infrastructure, and support communications.
An Application that includes advertising may allow its advertising providers to process device identifiers, IP addresses, advertisement interactions, and approximate regional information derived from an IP address.
Providers acting on our behalf receive information for their assigned services under applicable contractual restrictions. Some advertising or platform providers determine their own processing purposes and are responsible for explaining those practices in their privacy notices.
Where required, advertising consent choices are presented before the relevant processing begins. Available device and in-Application controls may allow you to withdraw consent or change advertising preferences. Non-personalized advertisements may still involve limited processing for delivery, security, and measurement.
8. Other Disclosures
Information may also be disclosed:
- At your direction, such as when you share a file.
- To comply with a valid legal obligation or enforceable request.
- To investigate a security incident or protect legal rights.
- To professional advisers subject to confidentiality obligations.
- In a lawful business transfer, subject to appropriate safeguards and any required notice.
We do not sell personal and sensitive user data for monetary consideration.
9. Storage and Retention
Local files and settings remain on your device according to your actions and the Application’s storage behavior.
Support information is retained while an inquiry remains active and for any further period reasonably needed to handle related issues or legal obligations. Diagnostic and analytics information is retained according to the configured service periods, taking account of troubleshooting needs and whether the information remains identifiable.
Where a record must be preserved for a dispute, security investigation, or legal requirement, retention is limited to the information and period needed for that purpose.
Information is deleted or anonymized when it is no longer needed. Irreversibly anonymized statistics may be retained for product analysis.
10. Removing Information
You can remove locally stored information by using available deletion functions, clearing Application storage, or deleting files through your device’s file manager.
Uninstalling an Application does not necessarily remove documents saved to shared storage, copies sent to another service, or backups maintained by your device provider.
The Applications covered by this version do not require a developer-hosted user account. There is therefore no such account to close.
To request deletion of information we hold directly, use the contact address in the opening sentence. We may ask for limited information necessary to identify the relevant records and verify your request. We will explain any lawful reason that prevents complete deletion.
11. Security and International Processing
We apply reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information involved, including access restrictions and protected transmission of personal information sent over networks.
No system provides absolute security. Device access controls, careful sharing, and independent file backups remain useful precautions.
Service providers may process information outside your country. Where transfer restrictions apply, we use an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or contractual safeguards. Information about applicable safeguards may be requested through the contact method above.
12. Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of personal information, restrict processing, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent.
Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully carried out before consent was withdrawn.
You may submit a request using the contact address in the opening sentence. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and will not penalize you for exercising protected privacy rights.
You may also complain to the data-protection authority responsible for your location.
13. Children
The Applications covered by this policy are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in circumstances that violate applicable law.
If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.
Where local law requires parental authorization for particular processing involving older minors, that requirement also applies.
14. Additional Notices and Policy Changes
A feature may present a more specific privacy notice explaining its data use. That notice supplements this policy; it does not authorize undisclosed collection or remove applicable consent requirements.
We may revise this policy as our Applications and practices change. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate notice, and any required consent will be obtained before new consent-based processing begins.
