Biography:

Dr. Cho received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D degrees from Chungnam National University, South Korea, in February 2002, February 2004, and August 2007, respectively. From August 2007 to August 2010, he was with the Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials (KIMM) as a Senior Researcher. From 2016 to 2017, he was a Visiting Research Scholar in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign (UIUC), Urbana, IL, USA. Since September 2010, he has been with Chungnam National University, where he is currently a Professor with the Department of Electrical, Electronics, and Communication Engineering Education, and with the Department of Convergence System Engineering.

Dr. Cho's current research interests include the design and analysis of motors and generators, as well as electromechanical systems. He is a member of the IEEE.
