Privacy Policy

1. Summary

Hanuman Connect does not require an account and does not collect your name, email, phone number, location, camera, contacts, or microphone data. Your bookmarks, chant counts, and preferences stay on your device. The only outside data flow is through Google AdMob, which serves the banner ads that keep the app free.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide

We do not ask you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the app.

2.2 Information stored locally on your device

The following is created as you use the app and stored only in the app's local database and settings, on your device. It is never transmitted to us or to any server we control:

• Bookmarked verses

• Chant/recitation counts (daily and all-time, per chant type)

• App preferences — theme (light/dark), font size, and app language (Hindi/English)

• Your chosen reminder times (daily, Tuesday & Saturday, morning, evening)

Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage from your device settings, permanently deletes this information.

2.3 Information collected automatically (advertising)

The app displays banner ads delivered by Google AdMob, part of Google Play Services. To serve and measure ads, Google's Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect:

• Your device's advertising identifier

• IP address and the approximate location derived from it

• Device and app information (model, OS version, language, app version)

• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)

This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us, under Google's Privacy Policy and its AdMob-specific disclosures. We do not have access to, and do not separately store, this advertising data.

3. How We Use Information

• Locally stored data (bookmarks, counts, preferences) is used only to run the app's features on your device — for example, remembering your reminder times or showing your recitation streak.

• Advertising data, collected by Google as described in 2.3, is used to display and measure the relevance of ads shown in the app.

We do not use any information for profiling beyond what's described here, and we do not sell any data.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. The only third party involved is Google, through the AdMob SDK, as described in Section 2.3.

5. Data Storage & Security

All app content — scripture text, bookmarks, chant counts, and preferences — is stored locally on your device using standard Android storage. We do not operate any servers that store your personal data. Because this data never leaves your device through our systems, its security depends on your device's own security (screen lock, OS updates, and so on).

The app does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, or file/storage access.

7. Children's Privacy

Hanuman Connect is a general-audience devotional app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us using the details in Section 10 and we will address it.

8. Your Choices

• Reset your chant counts or remove bookmarks at any time from within the app.

• Turn reminder notifications on or off at any time in Settings.

• Opt out of personalized ads from your device's Google Ads settings, or at adssettings.google.com.

• Uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if we add features like cloud sync or additional third-party services. We'll update the effective date above when we do. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
