Gold screws and knurled nut sets are now standard equipment free of charge when gold panels are specified.
Knurled nuts, both silver and gold, have been updated to longer ones that are easier to turn.

Sound quality
The SOUND TIGER Sinfonia has a crisp high-frequency range with no piercing, clearer resolution and tighter low-frequency range.
The sound image and localisation are the best of any SOUND TIGER to date, and the sound is crisp yet not tiring to listen to.
It is very good at live instrumental sources such as classical music and jazz, including vocal music.
The sound quality of the Sinfonia is the same as that of the previous edition of Concerto, but all of the above points have been raised to a higher level.
The Sinfonia also has a brighter midrange with vocals closer together compared to the Concerto, so you will be satisfied when listening to pop music.
Again, we have developed this product to reaffirm the advantages of balanced drive.
Circuit configuration, operation, etc.
The circuit is equipped with a transistor circuit that operates in Class-A mode.
The Gain switch is located on the board, and white noise can be suppressed by setting it to Low Gain.
The GND has been strengthened by reviewing the board wiring and the power supply area of the circuit. This improves the sound quality.
The unit operates for 10 hours on a new, pre-charged 1900mAh nickel-hydrogen battery.
The battery size is AA and Fujitsu NiMH is recommended. For alkaline, Fujitsu Premium S is recommended.
The amplifier is in its element after 50 hours of ageing and after 20 minutes of power-on.

Sound quality
Loud is a slightly compact SOUND TIGER, revival of the old size.
The sound has a strong sense of power and attack, with particularly pleasing drums, and vocals are close.
The sound image is well-defined, but this is an amplifier for enjoying energetic sounds.
Circuit configuration, operation, etc.
The amplifier uses an op-amp with a high drive current as a buffer IC.
The gain switch on the board is set to Low Gain to suppress white noise.
The GND has been strengthened by reviewing the board wiring and the power supply area of the circuit. This has improved sound quality.
The new, pre-charged 750mAh nickel-hydrogen battery will operate for approximately 10 hours.
Battery size is AAA and Fujitsu NiMH is recommended. For alkaline, Fujitsu Premium S is recommended.

Gain switch on the board
The Gain switch is set to 1x amplification factor on the OFF side and 2x amplification factor on the ON side. Normally, it is shipped in the ON position.
If you are concerned about white noise in high-efficiency earphones, switch the four small switches on the board to OFF simultaneously and see what happens. This may solve the problem.
Recommended type of Inter-connect cable
Each image shows the DAP side on the left towards you and the SOUND TIGER side on the right towards you.
4.4 mm to 4.4 mm Inter-connect cable of the common type, with GND also connected and all five poles of the plug having continuity.
4.4 mm & 3.5 mm to 4.4 mm, the type of Inter-connect cable recommended when connecting mainly to SONY DAPs. As the GND pole of the DAP's 4.4 mm jack is not connected, only the GND pole is connected from 3.5 mm to 4.4 mm.
This type of Inter-connect cable connects from a single-ended 3.5 mm. Using this with BTL's SOUND TIGER series, earphones and headphones will also operate as single-ended equivalents. However, the sound from the SOUND TIGER can be perceived as an improvement in sound quality.
This type of Inter-connect cable is recommended for connection from 2.5 mm balanced to the SOUND TIGER series. As 2.5 mm has no GND pole, only the GND pole is connected from 3.5 mm to 4.4 mm.（Some DAPs stop output from 2.5㎜ balanced when 3.5㎜ is plugged in, so in that case you have no choice but to listen with 2.5㎜ to 4.4㎜ only.）
Usage notes
Connect via phone-out or variable line-out with the player volume turned down. Connecting via a line-out with no volume control will result in maximum volume output, which may damage your ears and earphones/headphones.

When removing the SOUND TIGER board from the case, do not place the board on metal. The batteries may short-circuit, resulting in burnout and possible malfunction.

・Do not connect conversion to single-ended to the output terminals [BAL.] of the SOUND TIGER. Doing so may damage the amplifier circuitry, resulting in sound quality degradation and possible malfunction. In addition, the use of conversions made with L+, R+ and GND assignments will not be covered by the warranty in the event of trouble.
・Use of batteries other than NiMH, NiCd, alkaline or manganese is at your own risk. The warranty does not apply in the event of malfunction.
・Replace the batteries when the LEDs become relatively dim and there is loud white noise. It is not a malfunction.

If it is not available in your country, please purchase this as well. It has an important effect on sound quality.
The charger is of Japanese specifications. The voltage can be up to 240V, but an outlet conversion adapter is required separately.
Any charger for nickel metal hydride batteries from any manufacturer can be used.
