About Us

The Hanover Community Center, Inc. is managed by a board of directors elected by the membership. Membership is open to any person or organization desiring to promote the purpose and objectives of the center. Our goal is to provide after school care, tutoring, summer camps and other educational and recreational services for our youth, adults and seniors, and provide a facility for community activities such as weddings, receptions, reunions, banquets, meeting place for churches, businesses and organizations. 

The site for these services is the former Bethany Elementary School which is located at 14662 Bethany Church Road Montpelier, Virginia 23192. The building was constructed in 1957 and 1960 and closed as a school in 1983. The Hanover Community Center was formed with the vision of acquiring and converting it into a community site for activities and programs. We are a 501(c)(3) organization.
