The CCAC distributes a profile survey at the being of each year to gauges where the student is at with their post-secondary planning. According to the CCAC data at the beginning of their senior year, on average, 76.5% of seniors want to attend college, and on average 5.5% seniors wanting to attend a trade school.
The CCAC distributes a post-secondary survey at the end of each year to gauges what students have decided to do post-high school. According to this CCAC data, on average, 22.1% of seniors want to attend a 2-year college, 53.6% want to attend a 4-year college, and on average 11.6% seniors to attend a trade school, certificate program, or an apprenticeship. Well over half of the seniors want to continue their education.
The CCAC asks seniors what is the highest level of education they would like to complete at the end of the year too. As it is displayed many students still want to go beyond high school to get some type of credential. On average 81.1% of seniors want to continue their education after high school. This average decreased by .9% from the profile survey.
