I began teaching undergraduate Economics tutorials at Oxford University in 2021, covering Prelims Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Quantitative Economics, and Mathematics at Balliol College (2021–2023) and Magdalen College (2023–2024).
In 2024 and 2025, I also taught the MPhil Core Macroeconomics classes in the Economics Department. Below is anonymous feedback collected by the course convenor, Professor Martin Ellison:
“I thought Hannah was extremely talented at teaching the class because not only did she go through the mathematical part of the solutions under time pressure but she also provided clear explanations to the underlying intuition parts.”
“For the majority of classes we were taught by Hannah. Hannah was energetic and well-prepared, and able to help us tailor answers to what would be expected from us in the exam, it definitely helped that she could relate to the MPhil material having taken the same programme before her DPhil.”
“Hannah's tutorials were interactive, engaging, and helpful.”
“All the tutors were good overall, but especially Hannah Wei - she was very kind and well-prepared, and was always available after the class to answer questions.”
