Hannah Ruebeck
I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Hamilton College.
My research studies educational and labor market inequalities, using methods and insights from labor and behavioral economics.
I focus on the ways that psychological and social forces—for example, beliefs about yourself and others, stereotypes, and discrimination—affect students, teachers, and workers and contribute to gender, racial, and other gaps. Another strand of my work studies how beliefs and identity affect political participation.
I received my PhD in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2024.
