I, Hannah Jesberger, am a trilingual, multi-faceted professional with aspirations to obtain my Ph.D. in Spanish Linguistics with a focus on bilingualism, AI, and healthcare.

In the meantime, I work full-time as a Quality Project Coordinator overseeing multilingual AI development and part-time as a College Instructor teaching various levels of asynchronous Linguistic courses. For more specifics on these roles, please see my C.V.

As an undergraduate student, I engaged in several study abroad experiences including a summer semester (2014) in Lima, Peru; a spring semester (2015) in Valencia, Spain; and a spring semester (2016) in Quito, Ecuador. I am an advocate for study abroad programs and am eager to inspire and assist students on their own academic journeys abroad. Courses taken at La Universidad del Pacifico, La Universistat de Valencia, and La Universidad San Francisco de Quito can all be seen on my transcripts.

I have a wide range of teaching experience including teaching Spanish to students with intellectual disabilities (2013); teaching an ElderCollege critical thinking course at Bowling Green State University in Ohio (2014); teaching Spanish to first graders as an internship (2016); teaching Alcohol, Tobacco, and other Drug prevention courses to sixth graders (2018); teaching introductory Spanish level courses at New Mexico State University in New Mexico as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and College Professor (2020-2022); teaching introductory Spanish level courses at Arizona State University in Arizona as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (2022-2023)l and teaching introductory and intermediate linguistic courses at New Mexico State University in New Mexico as a College Instructor (2022-2026). I have also developed and taught the very first Linguistics and Healthcare course at New Mexico State University (2025-2026). Apart from teaching, I have experience conducting research on a Discourse Marker in Quito, Ecuador and have presented my research at the 16th Annual Ohio Latin American Conference in Columbus, Ohio, at the 23rd Latino/a/x Issues Conference in Bowling Green, Ohio, and at the first Symposium on Ecuadorian Spanish in Guelph, Canada where I also became a member of the PRESEEA Ecuadorian Team. My areas of study include discourse analysis, morphology, sociolinguistics, and computational linguistics. Examples of my research and writing can be read on the research tab.

Lastly, I have held various honors over the years such as Student of the Semester, Field Training Officer, and a feature on Arizona State University's Portuguese Instagram. Additionally, I am a member of the National Portuguese Honor Society of Phi Lamda Beta with a passion not only for the language and culture but also a passion and commitment to encourage others to excel in their explorations of the language and culture.
