My name is Han Jiang, Associate Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship and Presidential Fellow of Research Excellence at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen). I received my doctorate degree from W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Before joining CUHK Shenzhen, I serviced on the faculty of Tulane University (4 yrs) and the University of Arizona (4 yrs).

I am dedicated to a career of conducting high-quality scholarly research and publishing in leading academic journals in the fields of strategic management, entrepreneurship, and international business. My current research primarily focuses on four major topics and the conjunctions thereof: (1) social network and social capital, (2) corporate governance and strategic leadership, (3) venture financing and entrepreneurial decisions, and (4) global value chains. My works have been published regularly on leading academic journals, such as Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Production and Operations Management, Journal of Management, Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Global Strategy Journal, Academy of Management Discoveries, among others. My research has received funding support from the Chinese National Natural Science Foundation Program for Distinguished Young Scholars (Overseas).

In addition to conducting my own research, I actively assume editorial and leadership duties for leading academic journals and conferences. Since late 2021, I have held the position of Senior Editor at Asia Pacific Journal of Management. I am also a member of the editorial review board for Strategic Management Journal and Management and Organization Review. My reviewing work has been recognized with the Best Reviewer Award of Strategic Management Journal in 2022, along with several best reviewer awards from AOM annual conferences. I also served on the macro research committee of IACMR between 2021 and 2023.

I teach strategic management, organizational theory, corporate governance, and research method courses at undergraduate, master, and doctorate level.

Prior to joining academia, I worked as a professional consultant and provided services to various major companies listed in China mainland and Hong Kong (e.g., China resources, Sunshine 100, etc.).
