Hangul Mate ("we", "our", or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our Korean language learning application.

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device using secure local storage:

• Learning Progress: Completed lessons, vocabulary learned, character practice history, sentence practice, and listening drill results.

• Study Statistics: Daily study time, streak count, skill breakdowns, and completion rates.

• Application Settings: Dark mode, learning preferences, and customization options.

All data stays entirely on your device. We do not have access to it, and it is never transmitted to our servers or any third parties.

Permissions Used

• Internet Access: Required only for Text-to-Speech (TTS) pronunciation. No personal data or progress is transmitted. Only Korean text is sent to the TTS engine.

• Storage Access: Used solely to save progress, statistics, and settings locally.

Third-Party Services

• Text-to-Speech Engine: Uses the device’s built-in TTS system, governed by your device’s OS privacy policies.

• In-App Purchases: Optional donations are processed securely through Google Play. We do not collect or store payment information.

Data Security

All data remains on your device and is protected by your device’s built-in security mechanisms. We follow industry-standard local storage practices to keep your learning data secure.

Data Retention and Deletion

You have full control over your data. You may delete all progress anytime via Reset Progress in Settings, or remove all data by uninstalling the App.

Children’s Privacy

Hangul Mate is suitable for all ages. Because we do not collect personal information, we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Changes will be reflected in the updated Effective Date. We encourage users to review this policy periodically.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade user data with third parties. Hangul Mate collects no personal data.

Your Rights

You control all app-generated data. You may review statistics, reset progress, or delete all data by uninstalling the App.
