Medieval Society Hangethe
Welcome to the medieval village of Hangethe – the medieval society of Hanko!
We research and re-enact life during the Middle Ages and Renaissance: dance, singing, handicrafts, heraldry, calligraphy, cooking, sword fighting, archery, and much more. Our focus is on customs and daily life prior to the year 1650.
Hangethe is part of the Finnish medieval society Aarnimetsä (Barony of Aarnimetsä), which belongs to the international organization Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA).
We are based in Western Uusimaa, but travelers from farther away are warmly welcome!
Our meetings are currently held once a month – usually on the last Sunday of the month from 3 PM to 5 PM in Lappohja, Hanko.
Come and explore our activities – you are free to join any meeting without commitment.
We warmly welcome you!
