INTRODUCTION
Hand to Text ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Hand to Text mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our App.
INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT
We do NOT collect, store, or share any personal information. Specifically, we do not:
- Collect your name, email, or contact details
- Track your location
- Store your photos or images
- Retain recognized text
- Use cookies or tracking technologies
- Collect device identifiers
- Share data with third parties for advertising
PERMISSIONS REQUIRED
Camera Access
Required to capture photos of handwritten text for recognition. Images are only used temporarily for processing and are never stored by us.
Photo Library Access
Required to select existing images for text recognition. We do not access or retain any photos except the one you explicitly choose for processing.
Internet Connectivity
Required to send images to Google Cloud Vision API for handwriting recognition.
HOW WE PROCESS IMAGES
1. You capture or select an image.
2. The image is securely sent to Google Cloud Vision API.
3. Google processes the image and returns recognized text.
4. The recognized text is shown to you inside the App.
5. Neither the image nor the recognized text is stored on our servers.
6. All processing occurs in real-time.
GOOGLE CLOUD VISION API
We use Google Cloud Vision API for handwriting recognition. When you use the App:
- Images are sent to Google’s servers for processing.
- Google’s Privacy Policy applies.

- Google does not use your images for any purpose other than providing the recognition service.
DATA RETENTION
We do not retain any images, text, or user data on our servers. Everything is processed in real-time and immediately discarded.
LOCAL STORAGE
The App may store recognition history locally on your device for your convenience. This data:
- Remains only on your device
- Is never transmitted to us or any third party
- Can be deleted anytime by clearing the app data or uninstalling the App
CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The App is not directed at children.
DATA SECURITY
Even though we do not store data, all communication with Google Cloud Vision API uses industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS).
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The App uses:
- Google Cloud Vision API for text recognition
This service is governed by Google’s terms and privacy policies.
YOUR RIGHTS
Since we collect no personal data, there is no data on our servers to access, modify, or delete. Any locally stored data can be removed by:
- Clearing the app cache
- Uninstalling the App
CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be communicated by:
- Updating this page
- Revising the “Last Updated” date
- Providing in-app notification for significant changes
