Poverty continues to be one of the most significant issues facing the Philippines. People are considered to live below the poverty line if they are unable to meet their fundamental human needs for things such as food, water, clothing, a safe place to live, and an education. The number of individuals living in poverty has not decreased, nor has the overall level of poverty. Many people in the Philippines are unable to continue their education because they are living in poverty.

The following are some of the primary contributors to poverty in the nation: due to a lack of job development and poor employment quality, many households in the Philippines continue to be susceptible to shocks and dangers. As a result of the pervasive poverty and the scarcity of job possibilities in the country, a large number of Filipinos are unable to afford housing, which puts them at risk of having to sleep on the streets.
