The sounds were recorded in six different indoor locations. The idea was to capture the natural reverb characteristics of different spaces. The result is a comprehensive and diverse collection of natural-sounding handmade percussion sounds.

I have many electronic clap sounds on my computer, but good-sounding natural claps are a bit harder to find. This free collection should remedy the situation, packing over 150 different real-life snaps and claps.

All samples have been normalized to -0.1 dB and carefully trimmed to avoid any pops or clicks. My advice is to use several similar claps or snap samples in a round-robin fashion to achieve more natural results.

Greetings, these are some crisp claps and snaps. Dry and wet, that was clever, and I can stack them in fours and get a whole new clap that no one has heard before. :-) No back ground noise or anything, great work.

hello, just wanna let you know. it seems like there is something wrong with the pack. there are some missing samples. ive downloaded them before. like in the description it sould be around 150 but there are only 113 wav files in the new one ;) sorry for that.

My new indie sound design label 99Sounds has just announced its second release called Hands Make Sounds, a free collection of natural sounding hand claps and finger snaps in 24-bit WAV format.

Hands Make Sounds is a free sound library featuring 158 samples of hand claps and finger snaps. The sounds were recorded in six different indoor locations with the goal of capturing their natural reverb characteristics.

The collection was created in tandem with Cy Barzanthr (aka Girls With Depression), who has supplied a nice selection of sounds from his CyClaps and CyCnaps sample packs. Pay special attention to his set of hand claps which have been recorded with a laptop microphone. They sound incredibly crunchy with that lovely lo-fi vibe.

My job was to record a bunch of claps and snaps in different rooms all around my apartment. It feels a bit silly sitting alone in your toilet and clapping into a microphone, but oh well. You only live once, as they say.

I also felt a bit silly as I was trying to record all the claps I needed in this large hallway in front of my apartment. My neighbors are cool and all, but I know I would be surprised if I saw a guy clapping randomly in an empty hallway for no reason. It was worth the risk of looking like a moron in front of people though, as those claps recorded in the hallway sound very nice.

This is the Handclap, there are four unique DSP drum models in total, the others being Bassdrum, Snare and Hi-Hat. They have a 12-bit Lo-Fi crunch with virtual analog patch morphing. There is a free software editor that lets you edit and create new patches live on your PC.

These Soundcloud demos below are all untreated recordings direct from the modules. No external FX, processing, reverb, distortion or filtering has been added. This is what the modules sound like out of the box with trigger sequencing and external CV modulation. All drums are synthesised digitally, there are no samples.

Not really interested in claps after my VADrum2 purchase, but I wonder what it might do with others sounds you can import. Would like to see a demo from that, could be cool or not.

The LIMU interaction dataset is captured by us in an indoor scenario. The dataset contains nine interaction categories: hand clap, hand shake, hug, hand over, kick, pull, punch, push and touch shoulder. Each category is acted by 10 pairs of participants for two times. Since we consider the positive action may be done by the left participants or the right participants, we provide the data in two situations. Among the 10 samples, the left participants do positive action in the first 5 samples, while the right participants do positive actions in the following 5 samples. The interaction data are captured with a resolution of 640480 pixels, generally 50~170 frames per interaction item.

We provide these interaction data in two forms, frame sequences and videos. Frame sequences are laid in the folder of "image-interaction", each subfolder corresponding with one interaction. In the fold of "video-interaction", one video contains one interaction, total 90 video samples.
