Revolving Loan Fund

Administered by the John Hancock Community Development Corporation located in Hancock County, Indiana

Mission of the project

To provide gap financing for small private businesses in Hancock County, Indiana for the purpose of creating and/or saving jobs. The fund is self-perpetuating through loan repayments by borrowers where the revolving characteristic will allow it to serve as a long-term loan source for emerging and expanding businesses in the future.

The Hancock County Revolving Loan Program Committee will market the program to small private businesses in Hancock County through our local Chambers of Commerce, our Main Street organizations, and other contacts the committee has with the local community. We will also notify our local banks of this program so that we can be a resource for their clients.


FAQ

Requirements for loan funds would include:

  1. Small businesses must be located in Hancock County, Indiana

  2. No loan shall be made without sufficient funds available in the applicable fund account

  3. The business cannot be a franchise



What can I use the loan for?

  1. Preserving low to moderate income jobs through employee retention, payroll expenses, salaries, etc.

  2. Rents

  3. Purchase of equipment

  4. Furnishings, supplies, raw materials, inventory

  5. Building Improvements



What is the maximum amount I can apply for?

The maximum loan size is $5,000. The terms are up to 3 years for equipment, and up to 1 year for working capital.
