Western Distributed Systems Management Laboratory (W-DiSM)

The Western Distributed Systems Management Laboratory (W-DiSM) is in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario Canada. In recent years, the research activities at our lab have focused on investigating issues related to the management and control of complex systems and the applications that rely on these systems. Specific areas of research focus are managing resources in distributed computing system consisting of networked cloud and fog (edge) nodes for Internet of Things (IoT) applications. We are also investigating smart systems (e.g., smart cities and smart grids) .
