We, HPB have established the “HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) Philosophy and Policy” and implemented our HSE management system based on international standards to promote the development of our business, considering occupational health and safety, and environment.
We strive to improve our HSE performance continuously through the PDCA cycle, by implementing risk assessments, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, preparing an annual HSE programme, implementing training and drills, establishing emergency response plans, conducting HSE activities in collaboration with contractors at our operational sites, verifying HSE management of non-operator projects, and implementing HSE audits and management review, etc.

We believe that the Health and Safety of people and protection of the Environment (HSE) is one of the most important missions of an exploration and production company for oil, natural gas and other energy resources.
We will comply with laws and regulations ethically, and set and maintain our HSE management system to the highest level for the development of sustainable society (*) with harmony between people and the environment.
* sustainable society: a society that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs

In order to meet the HSE Philosophy, we carry out our exploration and production of oil, natural gas and other energy resources in accordance with these "Four Commitments" and "Three Actions" below.

Four Commitments
We, HPB, will:
- Comply with the HSE-related laws, regulations, international standards and other requirements to which we subscribe;
- Give top priority to the health and safety of all our employees, service contractors and people affected by our businesses;
- Aim to review and continually improve HSE management system by minimising the environmental impacts, preventing environmental pollution, injury and illness and reducing occupational health and safety risks;
- Strive to preserve the natural environment and coexist with the local community.
Three Actions
Three Actions
We, HPB, will:
- Establish the organisation, rules and management system of "Plan / Do / Check / Action" for our HSE programme and clarify the responsibilities;
- Conduct HSE-related education, training and internal communication activities in order to deepen the understanding of all employees of our "HSE Philosophy and Policy";
- Publish our "HSE Philosophy and Policy" through our brochures and website.
