Buyer/Seller Agreements

• This puppy is a purebred Yorkshire Terrier. This puppy is of typical temperament and structure and embodies the basic standards of the Yorkshire terrier breed.

• This puppy/dog is being sold with the intent to become a family pet. This means breeding of this puppy/dog is not permitted. The buyers acceptance and understanding of this is shown by his or her initials here __________ on __________ (date). 

• The purchase price of this puppy will be refunded if the buyer furnishes the seller with a veterinary certificate indicating that the puppy is unwell or unsound and returned within 72 hours from delivery. The Seller will reimburse no veterinary or shipping costs.

• This puppy is warranted for 1 year against fatal and life altering congenital diseases: includes severe hip dyspepsia, kidney, heart, pancreas, spinal and liver problems. Conditions must be of a severe life threatening nature. The puppy must show defects within one year of age. The seller must be notified of the problem within 2 days of diagnosis. Buyer must obtain reports from 2 licensed veterinarians from 2 unassociated veterinarian clinics, these reports must reach the same diagnosis and conclusion. Buyer must obtain all vet records and get them to the seller within 5 days of the diagnosis. Buyer will be responsible for paying any and all vet costs that occur during this process. Buyers must return the puppy to the seller within 10 days of the report of diagnosis. Seller will then have the puppy checked by their vet to confirm diagnosis (seller will cover the cost of this vet visit). If Seller’s vet confirms the diagnosis a full refund will be granted to the Buyer. The puppy will then stay with the Seller, unless agreed upon differently. If the buyer decides to keep the puppy, a full refund may not be guaranteed.  

• The puppy/dog is healthy at the time of sale and has had immunizations enumerated in the attached health record.

• If at any time the buyer is unable to keep or care for the puppy/dog, it must be returned to the seller. The puppy may not be transferred or sold by the buyer. The buyer’s understanding and acceptance of this condition is signified here by his or her initials: ___________ on ____________(date).

• The seller in no way guarantees that this puppy/dog shall win in conformation and/or performance events.

• If the seller determines, by any means, that the puppy/dog is not suitably cared for, or that it has been mentally or physically mistreated, the seller has the right to take full possession of the dog, and its duly signed AKC transfer papers/registration, without compensation. The seller’s opinion is the only authority required to justify this action. Testimony of other people will not supersede the seller’s judgment on this matter. Under such circumstances, all warranties are then VOID.

• The buyer agrees to maintain the puppy/dog’s health with yearly vaccinations as specified by their veterinarian.

• Should the puppy/dog become ill or unsound, any and all costs of treatment will be the responsibility of the buyer

• The buyer agrees to socialize, train, and keep the puppy/dog in a manner acceptable to the seller.

• The buyer agrees not to sue the seller and to pay any and all court or attorney fees incurred by the seller should any suit be brought against the seller regarding this puppy/dog by any person. The buyer signifies acceptance of this condition by initialing here: __________ on ____(date).

No other warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, are made under this contract except as stated above.
