Hamlet and the Ghost of his Father, Adam Vogler (mid-19th century). CC0, via Wikimedia Commons
Greetings all! I am very excited that you have chosen to come interact with the *dramaturgy website* for Hamlet. Here are some things to note about the organization of this site:
Timeline ~ This is an overview of important plot points within and preceding the play. I've also noted where sections are different in our adaptation of the script VS the Folger's edition.
First Folio ~ Using the first folio is up to everyone's discretion~ I've included an online resource and noted how one may find it useful!
Production History ~ I've noted some particularly notorious Hamlet productions of yore here, with links to videos if I could find them!
Ask Jo! ~ Check this page out for a google form to ask specific dramaturgical questions!Â
Answers to Questions ~ Here is where I will put answers to questions in the rehearsal report and those you submit via the google form. Some have been published already!
Character Tracking ~ This is the page I am most excited for our actors to explore. Every "track" you may be on (double-casting included) has a page with character-specific research, modern resonances, and general thoughts/themes/ideas that could be good and important for folks to chew on.
