Q: How does 1-on-1 tutoring work?
A: Your child will get tailored sessions as well as targeted instruction to work toward their goals.
Q: What are your hours?
A: Tutoring hours may vary. Sessions may take place Monday through Saturday.
Q: How much does it cost?
30-minute 1-on-1 tutoring sessions are $35.
60-minute 1-on-1 tutoring sessions are $65.
Q: How do payments work?
A: You pay at the time of service and I will email you a receipt.

Q: Where are you located?
A: We are located at 102 Schoolhouse Rd, Yorkville, IL 60560.
Q: How often should my child have a session?
A: This is different for every family. Most of my students come once a week for an hour, others come twice a week for a half hour. Once we find a common day & time together, I will schedule your child through the end of the school year or summer, so we don't lose their time slot. We can adjust the schedule at any time.
Q: What should my child bring?
A: This depends on the child's individualized goal. Some students bring homework and test review packets. Others bring nothing with them and we use materials prepared in advance to improve deficit areas or work on enrichment.
Polices
SCHEDULE OF LESSONS
Tutoring sessions will commence at agreed upon start date following completion of this agreement. Tutoring session schedules will remain consistent as previously agreed upon via email.
Reminders will be sent via email and/ or text one day prior to the scheduled tutoring session.
Any scheduling changes should be communicated via email to growathla@gmail.com.
LATE ARRIVAL AND CANCELLATIONS
No adjustment to fees shall be made for time due to late arrival by the student or for early termination of session by the student. The tutor agrees to wait fifteen minutes from the time of the scheduled session for the student's arrival before considering that session a no-show without sufficient prior notice and therefore subject to a no-show fee.
If you should need to cancel a tutoring session, 24-hour notice must be given prior to canceling the scheduled tutoring session. Failure to do so will result in a $40 fee for a one-hour session and a $20 fee for a half-hour session. This allows us to ensure tutors are compensated for their time and planning efforts.

DROP OFF & PICKUP
Drop off: Please walk your child into the building.
Pick up: Students are to be picked up within 5 minutes of the end of their session.
SICK POLICY
Children with excessive draining from the mouth, nose, eyes, or ears will need to stay home or be picked up as soon as possible. Hamilton's Learning Academy does not permit students in attendance to have pink eye, skin rashes, vomiting, diarrhea, a temperature greater than 100 degrees, lice, COVID, or any communicable disease. Children must be fever/ vomit/ diarrhea free for 24 hours, without the use of medication, before they can resume in-person tutoring.
PAYMENT & INVOICING
Tutoring sessions will be billed at a rate of $35 per half hour session and $65 per one hour session. No other fees will be applied for the preparation time of lessons. Fees may be adjusted and shall become effective after having given the client seven days written notice by email.
Payment is made at the time of the tutoring session.

Invoices that are paid after the due date will incur a 2% late fee.
OBLIGATIONS OF THE TUTOR
The tutor assumes responsibility for all preparation prior to lessons and will structure lessons in such a way as to optimize time to the benefit of the student. The tutor shall keep confidential all information of the student and shall contact other parties involved in the education of the student only if given written permission by the student, or student's guardian.
NO WARRANTIES
Hamilton's Learning Academy makes no promises or warranties with regards to a student's performance as a result of any tutoring provided.
TERMINATION
Sessions may be terminated by either party by giving 14 days written notice. Communication about termination of services should be directed to growathla@gmail.com.
