I got my Ph.D. from New Mexico State University. I was working on the optimal management of multi-objective watersheds. My masters’ research foci were on designing hydraulic structures, designing flood controlling pond systems, simulating different flow types through porous media. My Ph.D. research foci were on developing the optimized dynamic systems to monitor and control the stochastic floods in Mesilla Valley, Southern New Mexico. Alongside my main research, I was working on developing a multi-criteria decision-making framework for water resources systems to serve water policy makers in the state of New Mexico. My published works are in diverse fields including development and tuning of fuzzy inference systems, application of decision-making methods under deterministic and uncertain conditions in water resources projects, surface water modeling, linear and non-linear programming, utilizing time series modeling and artificial intelligence concepts in streamflow forecasting, utilizing data mining techniques to improve accuracy of hydrologic forecasting processes, application of evolutionary methods such as Genetic Algorithm (GA), Particles Swarm Optimization (PSO), Ant Colony (AC), Climate change impact analysis, Strategic management of multiple reservoirs under impacts of climate changes, and several other evolutionary algorithms through optimization projects. Currently I work as a postdoctoral researcher on development of optimal management strategies on water and environmental issues in Red River Basin under potential climate change impacts.
