Get-on-the-Air Workshops

This is a two-hour Get-on-the-Air workshop. New hams with or without call signs are welcome to attend.

We will cover:

• Simplex and repeater communications on handheld radios.

• Programming handheld radios thru front panel and getting to know your radio.

• How to participate in nets

• Ham activities and clubs in San Diego and more.

• Bring your radio with fully charged battery or borrow one of ours for the training.

Sign up at https://hamstudy.org/sessions/GOTA/all. These sessions typically are 2 - 2.5 hours and start at 3:30pm after the ham radio licensing exams in the same location.  We typically alternate between the Mira Mesa and Tierrasanta Libraries.
