At BAOZHUAN New Material, our work on halogen free flame retardant began with a simple goal — to create materials that protect lives without harming the environment. Over the years, we’ve refined our formulations to deliver both fire safety and sustainability, meeting global standards such as REACH and RoHS.
Unlike halogen-based systems, our halogen free flame retardant solutions rely on phosphorus-nitrogen chemistry to stop flames before they spread. During exposure to heat, these compounds help form a dense char layer on the polymer surface. The layer acts like insulation — reducing heat, blocking oxygen, and minimizing smoke. What’s left behind is cleaner, safer material performance with no toxic gas release.
Our formulations perform exceptionally well in polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), and engineering plastics like PA6 and PBT. With proper loading, materials can easily reach the UL 94 V-0 level, while keeping mechanical strength, color stability, and surface finish intact.
We also use intumescent systems in applications that demand higher protection. When a fire starts, the coating expands to form a thick, foamed barrier — a proven defense against heat and flame penetration.
At BAOZHUAN, every product we design is tested for thermal stability, process compatibility, and long-term performance. By combining chemistry innovation with practical understanding, we continue to advance halogen free flame retardant technology for safer, greener material solutions.
