Greetings!
I am Dr. Jonghwan Choi, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the College of Information Science, Hallym University, located in the Republic of Korea.
My academic journey has been a dynamic and enriching one. I earned my Master's degree in Computer Engineering from Incheon National University in 2018, under the esteemed guidance of Professor Jaegyoon Ahn. Subsequently, I continued my academic pursuit at Yonsei University, where I successfully attained my Doctorate in Computer Science in 2023. Throughout this doctoral journey, I had the privilege of being under the guidance of the distinguished Professor Sanghyun Park, and my research was centered around "A Study of Goal-directed Molecular Optimization for AI-based Drug Design."
In terms of my research interests, my work encompasses a variety of compelling topics within the field of AI and molecular design. These areas include generative AI techniques for the creation of small molecules, the application of reinforcement learning algorithms for optimizing molecular properties, and the prediction of drug properties.
