The course is based around the brand new Halifax Common Aquatic Facility in the centre of Halifax by the oval. The swim will take place in five lanes of the new outdoor swimming pool, and then the run will be an out and back course along the sidewalk around the facility. Detailed course maps and distances for each race category and distance can be found below.

Race day check-in and body marking will open approximately 30-45 minutes before the start of the first event. The location of the race check-in area is at the main entrance to the pool at the front desk, and participants will then be able to proceed into the locker rooms to get changed for their race. There will be bib numbers and temporary tattoo body markings provided to athletes at check-in.

The start area will be by the side of the pool on the Cogswell Street side of the facility. There will be a transition area positioned on the pool deck near the exit of the pool deck where participants can keep their shoes and a change of clothes to change into if needed before the run. There will be two race briefings occurring at the start area: one will be before the adult super sprint and sprint races, and the other one will be before the kid's race.
