When I got to this point I needed an extra paddle welded between each one on the tracks. I made a steel brake and mounted it on my 35 ton log splitter to bend the extra paddles. (Seen Below.)

My first set of track slack adjusters were not heavy enough so I rebuilt them using a set of top links for a three point hitch. The Alis hydro-static trans did not have enough power to drive the tracks like I wanted it to. This is why I installed them onto the Sears ST16 with Hi/Lo trans.

I was having issues with not enough traction with the front tires to steer. The tracks hanging out behind are a lot to skid across the ground. This is why I built the weight bar for the front. This helped tremendously.

This is a Ford 302 V8. The half track carried this around with ease.

Here I changed my third link so my rear carriage suspension could move up and down but only so far. This was to prevent me from getting squashed when going over large obstacles. This also prevents the tractor from flipping over backwards climbing steep inclines because the tractor does not spin or stop with the tracks on. If I need to lift or hall very heavy items I can adjust the third link in one direction and that makes the entire tractor a counter weight.

I was having some issues with the drive tires slipping when driving in the snow on the metal cleats so I added four chains around the drive tires that have a positive lock on the tracks. They don't spin now. I took the half through about three feet of snow and the tracks were biting so much and it was so hard to push the tractor through the snow the tractor would lift the front skis off the ground until the third link would stop it.
