Closets, kitchens, pantries, offices, mudrooms, bedrooms, playrooms - they all need organizing! We'll work together to find your biggest struggles and create solutions you can actually stick with. Everything is catered to your style and preference. No job is too big or too small!

I understand that we have emotional attachments to things and also worry about letting things go that we might need one day. We won't rush through it and I won't pressure you in any way . . . unless you want me to play bad cop. Patience and compassion is my default but I can turn on ruthless and demanding if you think that helps you! 

Virtual Organizing

With virtual organization coaching, you can access affordable help wherever you live.  Over weekly video calls, we will work together to declutter one box, bag, shelf, drawer or corner that's giving you grief. We will collaborate to set goals and I will gently keep you accountable. While the process may feel slow, it might surprise you how quickly you start to feel good about your space!

I love home decor and enjoy making organized spaces that are also really freaking cute. BUT I also think that organization is not about looking Pinterest-perfect, nor about buying a bunch of jars and acrylic containers. I can make it cute or keep it practical. And YOUR style is always MY priority. 

No Judgement

A lot of organizers, bless their anal-retentive hearts, are naturally very tidy. With me, you get something different. I'm a natural slob. I've learned how to organize the hard way - losing everything over and over and always being late. So you can feel totally shame-free in sharing your mess with me.

Hi! I'm Emily

I'm a middle aged California girl and mom of two boys. 

I have struggled my whole life to stay organized. To combat my inherent messiness, I learned that I needed systems for everything. For a decade I could never find my keys, until I got a pretty bowl and said "This is the Key Spot. Keys shall never live anywhere but this bowl." Eventually, I was diagnosed with ADHD and that explained so much. Then I was able to learn even more tips and tricks for reigning in the chaos. I accidentally became an organizer for someone who needed a little household help and it turned out I really enjoyed helping them love their home again. And I was pretty good at it!

My house and car and life still get messy. But my slob tendencies actually make me a better organizer. I know what it's like to feel overwhelmed by the mess. I'll never, ever judge you. Instead, we'll ignore all the rules and find the unique, or downright weird, solutions to your most troubling areas.

rates & packages

20 Minute Consultation via phone or video call: FREE! Call me at 805-620-7092 

On-site consultation (approximately 60 minutes): $100 If you choose to work with me, this will be applied as a deposit for services. If you decide not to hire me as an organizer, this consultation will provide you invaluable expertise, tips, resources and encouragement that will help you, whether you decide to DIY the organization or work with another service provider. 

In-home sessions: The amount of time varies based on project and the pace you prefer. I can offer you an estimate based on your project and desired results. Alternatively, you can set a budget and I can give you an idea of what can be accomplished in that time.

Hourly rate: $80 an hour

Minimum of three hours per session

Package of 10 hours: $750 (Save $150)

Package of 15 hours: $1,375 (Saves $125!) 

Virtual sessions:

One hour session: $60

Half hour session: $35

Locations served for in-person organizing: Los Angeles, Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena, Sun Valley, Sherman Oaks, Encino, Van Nuys, Valley Village, Noho, Atwater, Los Feliz, Eagle Rock, Highland Park, Toluca Lake, Hollywood, Downtown LA, Beverly Hills. I'm happy to drive anywhere but locations that require more than 15 miles outside of Burbank require a travel fee. 

Virtual services available in any location and time zone, so long as we can schedule it and you have the technology and internet available.

the meaning of halcyon

I chose the name Halcyon because it is an adjective to describe an era or place filled with peace, tranquility, bliss and prosperity. That might have been why in 1903 a spiritual group (some may call it a cult) created a commune called The People of Halcyon in my hometown. I was always fascinated, and a little scared, by this group. But really it was just a bunch of hippies trying to build the life they wanted. All I want is to help you, my client, create a peaceful, happy space so you can build the life you want. It's not about the drool-worthy pantry with all the cute labels. It's about the LIVING you get to do because of it. And that's what I'd call a halcyon home.
