This Privacy Policy outlines the practices and procedures concerning the collection, use, disclosure, and safeguarding of your information when you use our Halal Souk mobile applications (User and Driver) developed by ("Halal Souk," "Company," "we," "us," and "our"), a private company established under the laws of Kenya with its registered office at Hughes Building, Muindi Mbingu Street, Nairobi Kenya. The term "you" refers to the user of the Halal Souk Platform. The term "Services" refers to any services offered by Halal Souk. This policy exclusively applies to information collected by Halal Souk through its services, including email, text, and other electronic communications.

Collection of Location Data During Service Use:
1. **User and Delivery Person Location Data:** We collect location data of drivers and delivery persons through the Halal Souk driver app for rides and deliveries. This data assists in fraud detection, legal compliance, and enhancing pick-ups and deliveries. Such location data is collected when the app is operational on their mobile device, whether in the foreground or background.
2. **Delivery Location Data:** Location data is collected to improve pick-ups and deliveries, facilitate safety features, and prevent and detect fraud.
How We Collect Location Data:
We gather this data from users' mobile devices, provided they grant us permission. Collection occurs from the time a ride or delivery is requested until its completion (and may be indicated by an icon or notification on your mobile device, based on your device's operating system). It applies when the app is in the foreground on their mobile device.
Riders and delivery personnel can enable precise location data collection through the Halal Souk driver app. However, this may impact certain features. For instance, users without enabled location data collection must manually input their pick-up address. Also, location data gathered from a driver during a trip will be linked to the rider's account, even if the rider hasn't enabled location data collection on their device. This linkage is used for receipt generation, customer support, fraud detection, insurance, and litigation purposes.
