One note to add is that this very NES previously had some other older hakchi2 (I think) kernel installed before Hakchi2 CE v3.9.3. I did the uninstall (from Hakchi2 CE v3.9.3 interface function) and flashed it again with Hakchi2 CE v3.9.3 kernel to make sure it's clean and good to go. I had no errors and again, the games synced into the console directly work just fine, but none of USB exported ones aren't even showing up in the list. Are there any caveats on removing the old kernel I didn't do and this is what causing it? How to for sure perform a factory reset on NES Mini, should I do this via NES TV interface menu itself?

Yes, you can use web installer now:

This is static link, it always points to installer of latest version. Also it will install all required components if they are not installed. This version supports automatic update just in one click. So it's very recommended to use installer instead of classic portable version. Please note that all user files (kernel, config, games, etc.) will be stored in "My documents\hakchi2" folder by this version. So just copy your files there if you want to migrate to non-portable version.

I downloaded an older version of hakchi first and it didnt recognise my system at all. Then I realised my system would no longer power on. I installed the latest version CE, and the system powers on with a lot of trial and error and can operate within Hakchi.

Recently lost my computer and hard drive with my hakchi install, now on a new computer. I use external USB for all my games on my SNES Classic. Is there a way to put those games back into my hakchi program? I've tried some things but I've had no luck. If it's as simple as drag n drop, I must be doing something wrong.

In the USB are .7z files of every rom you placed on it, so I went to the top directory and in the search bar I typed .7z and hit enter. It gave me a list of every single game in .7z form. Just highlight them all and copy them to a new folder on your hard drive. From there you can literally drag and drop them all at once, or one at a time if you prefer, onto your hakchi app. They add to your collection like normal. That way you have the exact list of roms you had before you lost your hakchi folder, without having to redownload anything or do much work at all.

Totally new to this and stumbling through the process as best I can. On a Mac using VirtualBox, all firewalls off, trying to install kernel to get hakchi on my SNES mini. I get to the phase after unplug/power on/hold rest/plug in, but as it's installing, it gets to about 7-14% and another loading bar pops up:

If the SNES Classic is using hakchi, when turned on normally (non-FEL mode) and connected to a Windows computer, the SNES Classic will be recognized as a network adapter called Samsung Classic or classic (depending on the RNDIS driver being used by the computer).

Shell scripts are similar to hakchi modules in that they add aditinal features. However shell scripts are added as games, occupy the same space as a game on the SNES Classic game's menu, and are loaded the same way as a game is.

Create a folder called hakchi inside the root of the USB flash drive. Inside this folder, create another folder called transfer. Put the desired hmods (or bios files?) inside the tranfer folder, while not exceding a total of 60 MiB of files per each transfer process. Plug the USB flash drive to the SNES Classic through an OTG adapter or hub. Power on the SNES Classic, and the hmods will be installed, and the tranfer folder deleted.

To uninstall hakchi modules through the transfer folder method, create a file named uninstall inside the transfer folder. With a text editor that can leave a UNIX end of line style (like Notepad++), write on the uninstall file the name, without extensions, of the hakchi modules files to be uninstalled, 1 per line. The names of the hmod files can be senn on the hmods file inside the hakchi folder on the USB flash drive. How to see the hmods filenames if not using a USB for storage?. Turn the SNES Classic on while connect to the USB flash drive, the listed hmods will be uninstalled, and the transfer folder will be deleted from the USB flash drive.

By installing the 'wpa-supplicant' hakchi module, the user can connect to the internet. An OTG adapter and a compatible wi-fi dongle are also needed. Among other things, it allows for the connection between the SNES Classic and Hakchi2 CE wirelessly.

Hey guys so I bought my snes classic back in late 2018 and Got into modding it with hakchi. Things were going smoothly until it got stuck on the knock knock hakchi splash screen and won't actually start.

I have an NES classic that was originally hacked about a year ago and loaded roms onto it with hakchi . I hooked the system up to my computer again today to load in different roms, but the new version of hakchi v.3.7.0 requires a kernel update before it will allow me to do anything. When I start the process, it gets to 14%, then a window saying 'Please wait while your mini is rebooting...' comes up. The progress bar slowly fills, then when it gets to the end, it says 'Your device is taking a long time to reboot' and basically halts the process from what I can tell. Double checked that hakchi was in the firewall exceptions (it was) and even turned off the windows firewall completely while trying to run this process numerous times, with the same results. I'm not using any sort of vpn either. Googling this problem, it looks like anyone with similar problems had solved the issue at that point. Any ideas?

This tutorial will show you how to change the main menu background music on the SNES Classic. You will be able to add your own custom music to the main menu using the Hakchi Advanced Music hack mod in hakchi2 CE.

4. If you are using the USB-Host mod, create a new folder titled "menu_music" inside the hakchi folder of your USB drive, and add your music into the folder. The music file must be a .wav format. You can add more than one song; it will play at random. You are now done. Do not continue. (aj_hix36 from Reddit created a perfect loop of Wii Shop Music that you can download here.) e24fc04721
